Mobile phone credit card

Paying for everyday items could be soon a matter of pointing your mobile phone at the till.

This new payment method could make the plastic card in your wallet obsolete as manufacturers have come up with a phone that thinks it's a credit card.

It sends the bank details which are currently stored on the magnetic strip on the back of a credit card to the till using an infrared beam from the mobile phone.

This new technology will also work with all types of vending machines, petrol stations and anywhere else the receiving technology has been installed. This will be very simple to use and no signature will be required. A pincode will identify the user.
